Puppies & Upcoming Litters:
(last updated Tuesday, October 24, 2006 3:33 PM )

"My Deer" not only produces beautiful healthy standards for the breed ring, but also for obedience and agility. Several puppies are currently working on their obedience and agility titles. "My Deer," also, has bred dogs with service and CGC titles.

"My Deer" is not a kennel setup. All of our six (6) poodles live in our home with us. My husband and I share a great love for this wonderful breed. It is our goal to produce only the healthiest and most sound poodles we can. We only breed on average once a year and our females are only bred to healthy tested males. All of the puppies are home raised along with our own poodles. They are very socialized and all puppies are temperament and obedience tested at seven weeks. When the puppies leave with their new owners they are vet checked and given a certificate of health. We are proud to say all our retired females are Top Producers.

In order to purchase a standard poodle puppy from "My Deer" there are several"musts" you should be aware of. First of all, a fenced area for the puppy is a must. Poodles require at least one hour of exercise daily. Walks are a most enjoyable way to spend time with your poodle and provide exercise for both you and your poodle!

Poodles require regular visits to the groomer. This is because they have hair as opposed to fur. They should be brushed several times a week. This will keep your poodle matt free for less stressful visits to the groomer. Poodles do not "shed" and do not have that doggy odor. A poodle is a good choice if a member of your family is prone to allergies.

Regular ear cleaning and nail clipping is important for good general health. Teeth brushing, also, helps maintain good oral hygiene.

A complete schedule for vaccinations and other recommended preventative veterinary care is provided to all puppy buyers.

References are required from all prospective puppy buyers. The buyers are carefully interviewed and asked to fill out a questionnaire. This process helps match the poodle and family temperaments and lifestyles.
